U.S. Department of Commerce
The United States Department of Commerce is the Cabinet Department of the United States government concerned with promoting economic growth. Among its tasks are gathering economic and demographic data for business and government decision-making and helping to set industrial standards. This organization primarily aims to create jobs, promote economic growth, encourage sustainable development, and improve all Americans' living standards.

Bureau of Economic Analysis
The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) is a government agency that provides official macroeconomic and industry statistics, most notably reports about the gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States and its various units. It also provides information about personal income, corporate profits, and government spending in its National Income and Product Accounts.
Bureau of the Census
The United States Census Bureau, officially the Bureau of the Census, is a principal agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System responsible for producing data about the American people and economy. It is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the President appoints its director.

Economic Development Administration
The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) is an agency that provides grants and technical assistance to economically distressed communities to generate new employment, help retain existing jobs, and stimulate industrial and commercial growth through various investment programs. EDA works with boards and communities across the country on economic development strategies.

International Trade Administration
The International Trade Administration (ITA) promotes nonagricultural U.S. goods and services exports. The ITA's goals are to 1) Provide practical information to help Americans select markets and products, 2) Ensure that Americans have access to international markets as required by the U.S. trade agreements, and 3) Safeguard Americans from unfair competition from dumped and subsidized imports.   
Minority Business Development Agency
The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) promotes the growth and competitiveness of the United States' minority-owned businesses, including Hispanic and Latino American, Asian Pacific American, African American, and Native American businesses.

 

National Institute of Standards and Technology
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is an agency whose mission is to promote American innovation and industrial competitiveness. The NIST organizes its activities into physical science laboratory programs that include nanoscale science and technology, engineering, information technology, neutron research, material measurement, and physical measurement. 

 

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a scientific and regulatory agency. It forecasts weather, monitors oceanic and atmospheric conditions, charts the seas, conducts deep sea exploration, manages fishing, and protects marine mammals and endangered species in the U.S. exclusive economic zone.

National Software Reference Library
The National Software Reference Library (NSRL) is a repository of known software, file profiles, and file signatures for use by law enforcement and other organizations involved with computer forensic investigations. The National Institute of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Defense Computer Forensics Laboratory, the U.S. Customs Service, software vendors, and state and local law enforcement support the project. 

National Technical Information Service
The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) is an agency that collects and organizes scientific, technical, engineering, and business information generated by U.S. government-sponsored research and development for private industry, government, academia, and the public. 

National Telecommunications and Information Administration
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is an agency that serves as the President's principal adviser on telecommunications policies about the United States' economic and technological advancement and regulation of the telecommunications industry.

National Weather Service
The National Weather Service (NWS), part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, provides weather forecasts, warnings of hazardous weather, and other weather-related products to organizations and the public for protection, safety, and general information.

United States Patent and Trademark Office
This agency serves as the national patent office and trademark registration authority for the United States. It maintains a permanent, interdisciplinary historical record of all U.S. patent applications to fulfill the objectives outlined in the U.S. Constitution. It is also a Receiving Office, an International Searching Authority, and an International Preliminary Examination Authority for international patent applications.
