Brown-Daniel Library (Main Campus)

Library Classrooms can be reserved via the Event Management System. In cases of missing the 10-days-ahead deadline for the system, please contact Colette Bradley.

Due to many demands for use of library classrooms and meeting spaces, the library faculty/staff also coordinate with teaching faculty and other requestors in identifying suitable locations in their "home" buildings for information literacy, bibliographic instruction, and/or library orientation presentations. "Smart" classrooms and/or regular classrooms have been used with success for these purposes, due to the availability of wired and wireless Internet access in campus facilities.

Media Center (Main Campus)

The Main Campus Media Center classrooms can be reserved via the Event Management System. There are two classrooms: a large classroom accommodating up to thirty-eight (38) and a small classroom accommodating up to twenty-five (25).

Criteria for scheduled use of the classrooms:

• The group must be a regularly scheduled class listed in the current Class Schedule.
• The class must be accompanied by the instructor who remains with the class until the period is finished.
• The class must be using media/equipment.
• Scheduling for use may be done by telephone or in person.
• Not for use by social groups, sororities, fraternities, clubs, etc.

Avon Williams Library (Off-Campus Instructional Site)

The Avon Williams Library Classroom can be reserved via the Event Management System. If you experience any issues scheduling a room, please contact Mitchell Chamberlain for assistance.

The Avon Williams Campus is located three miles from the main campus of TSU and is accessible by a shuttle service that operates between the two campuses. The Library is located on the first floor of the Downtown campus and is operated by six library professionals. The Library has 24 computer workstations, three group study rooms, and a medium-sized interactive “smart” classroom that comfortably seats up to 14 people. Almost all of the services and resources that are available on the TSU main campus can be accessed at the Downtown location. Library faculty coordinate with teaching faculty and other requestors to provide information literacy, bibliographic instruction, and/or library orientation presentations as needed.
