I am James Scholz, the Coordinator for Research and Instruction at TSU Libraries and Media Centers. My role is to not only empower students in their academic careers, but to assist faculty with their research and instructional needs. I have a passion for making a difference in people’s lives, and this role allows me to just that!
I have earned a Master’s in Library degree and Information Science from the University of South Florida, and a Master’s in Education degree from Cameron University in Oklahoma. I have been an instructor librarian for many years, created a digital media lab at my previous library, and enjoy embedding creative methods into my teaching portfolio. For instance, I have been known to teach students how to create new content for Wikipedia, thus giving them practice in academic research and writing, and the peer review process.
