Remember, it is important to cite your sources. Also, it is strongly suggested to go ahead and create citations as you research so you don't lose valuable information at the end.
The information you need will depend on the citation guide your professor would like for you to use. Make sure you have the author(s), article title, title of the publication, publication date, page and for electronic resources the URL.

Citation for Online Newspaper Article:
Lastname, F. M. (Year, Month Date). Title of article. Title of Publication.

Example: Article from Newspaper Website

Note: you will provide a URL at the end of the citation if the online newspaper article was accessed from the newspaper's website.

Notes: If the name of a newspaper starts with "the" it is omitted from the citation. For newspapers that are not well known, the city name should be added after the publication title in parenthesis-- Example: Citizen Tribune (Morristown, TN). If no DOI is available, use the URL.
