Women's Studies Research Guide

Welcome to the Women's and Gender Studies Research Guide. This guide will provide you with resources to help you with your research on women's studies.

This guide presents selected reference sources, websites, databases, and books that highlight the wide range of information sources that are available for the exploration of women’s issues. Women Studies is an interdisciplinary program that examines the multiple roles women plays in everyday life, the impacts of gendered practices on social, cultural, and political behavior and thought, and the intersections of gender, race, sexuality, ability, age, and class.

Our courses examine topics such as women in culture and history; gender and race, class, and sexuality; gender in literature, politics, the law, and the sciences.  Use referencedesk@tnstate.edu for further assistance.
